In West Bengal, the private bus strike has paralysed normal life. Taxis are seen very few in number and auto rikshaws are also not plying to their full strength in Kolkata. The state government has released an additional fleet of government buses but commuters are still in difficulty. In the morning, office goers crowd and school going students faced inconvenience. The scene has been worst in Sialdah, Gariahat and Howrah sections. The South 24 Parganas, where government buses are comparatively less, is the most inconvenienced. Private buses in the North 24 Parganas are also not plying to their regular strength. Taxis are few in number in Kolkata and 24 Parganas.
