Indian companies both in private and public sector will have to work together to achieve the objective of indigenisation in defence sector. Addressing an international seminar on Defence Technology in New Delhi on Friday, Chief of Integrated Staff Committee Vice Admiral Shekhar Sinha said the aim to provide 70 per cent indigenous weapons to armed forces is far from achieved.On increased participation of Small and Medium Enterprises in defence sector, Vice Admiral Sinha said, SMEs have remained as important supply source of components and sub-components for aerospace to DPSUs, DRDO, ISRO etc. The two-day seminar is being organised by Centre for Joint Warfare Studies .
