Senior Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan has taken over as Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Ajit Pawar of the NCP was sworn in as Deputy Chief Minister at Raj Bhawan on Thursday. Nine Ministers from the Nationalist Congress Party were also sworn-in by the Governor.
