In Maharashtra, the Prithviraj Chavan-led Congress-NCP ministry has been expanded today with the induction of 29 more ministers. The ministers were given the oath of office and secrecy by the Governor K Sankaranarayanan at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai. AIR correspondent reports that 14 Congress Minsters and 5 NCP Ministers have been Cabinet rank. These include Narayan Rane, Patangrao Kadam, Shivajirao Moghe, Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Harshavardhan Patil, Balasaheb Thorat, Rajendra Darda, Naseem Khan, Suresh Shetty, Nitin Raut, Madhukar Chavan, Varsha Gayakwad, Adv. Padmakar Valvi and Sanjay Deotale of Congress and Anil Deshmukh, Ramraje Naik Nimbalkar, Baban Rao Pachpute, Rajesh Tope, Hasan Mushreef of NCP.Five Minister of State from both the Congress and NCP have also been inducted in the ministry. These are Satej Patil, Rajendra Mulak, Rajendra Gavit, D. P. Savant and Ranjit Kamble of Congress and Prakash Solanke, Sachin Ahir, Fauzia Khan, Gulabrao Deokar and Bhaskar Jadhav of NCP.Earlier, 11 Ministers were sworn in along with Prithvi Raj Chauhan as Chief Minister on Monday.
