PriThree Indian archers advance into finals of first Asian Grand Prix Archery

India's Rahul Banerjee, Jignas C. and Anjali Kumari today waltzed into the finals of their respective events in the inaugural Asian Grand Prix Archery Championship at Bangkok. In the Men's individual recurve event, Rahul defeated Atanu Das, 6-2. In the finals tomorrow, Rahul will meet Olympic Gold medalist Japan's Takaharu Furukawa. Atanu will face Hsin-Fu Chen of Chinese Taipei in the bronze medal play-off.In the Men's compound individual event, Jignas C. beat Ardianto Yanu of Indonesia, 145-140. He will meet China's He Ying in the finals.In the Women's compound individual event, Anjali Kumari defeated Singapore's Loh Contessa, 135-132. In the finals, Anjali will clash with Indonesia's Threesyadinda Dellie.In the Women's individual recurve event, Bombayla Devi will feature in the bronze medal play-off against Gina Rahayu Sugiharti of Indonesia.The competitions are being held under flood lights for the first time.
