In Uttar Pradesh, Principal Secretary – Home Fateh Bahadur and Director General of Police, DGP, Brij Lal have been transferred on the directives of the Election Commission.

A number of political parties from the state had demanded their removal for their alleged bias towards the ruling BSP.

AIR correspondent reports that Principle Secretary, Planning and Medical Education, Manjit Singh has been posted as new Principle Secretary Home while senior IPS officer Atul will be new DGP of the state.
