The Vice-Patron of the Commonwealth Games Federation General Assembly, Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex yesterday visited several venues of the Commonwealth Games 2010 and expressed satisfaction over the preparation for the event. Mr Edward will attend the Commonwealth Games Federation General Assembly today. Besides the Thyagaraj Stadium, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium and the headquarters of the Organising Committee, the Prince also visited the Games village. He was particularly keen to know details about the Queen's Baton Relay that will be launched by Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace on October 29. The Britain Prince also met Union Sports Minister M S Gill, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and a host of officials and delegates.
