The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh's visit to Japan has been postphoned. He was scheduled to leave for Tokyo on Wednesday. External Affairs Ministry spokesman Syed Akbaruddin said new dates will be finalised after mutual consultation between the two countries. He said that the visit has been postphoned due to political developments in Japan. Report says Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda will call for an early election next month.
