The Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh today ruled out early elections. He said elections would be held in due course.
Speaking to reporters at the Rashtrapati Bhawan after the swearing-in ceremony, Dr Singh said today's expansion of his Council of Ministers would probably be the last.
On Rahul Gandhi, the Prime Minister said he always wanted him in the government but he has pre-occupations. Dr Singh said Rahul Gandhi wants to strengthen the party.
The Prime minister said the cabinet expansion is a combination of youth, experience and relevance of
portfolios. He said the new team is ready to face the challenges.
