Prime Minister Narendra Modi lays foundation of 1,448 crore projects in Jamnagar, Gujarat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated and laid the foundation stone of projects related to irrigation, power, water supply, and urban infrastructure worth 1,448 crore rupees in Jamnagar today.<br />'' <br />'' Addressing the people, the Prime Minister said, the Government is highly stressing upon the ease of doing business for small industries and has abolished more than 33 thousand small compliances and over two thousand irrelevant laws to benefit the MSME sector of the country.  <br />'' <br />'' India's place in the Ease of doing business index has improved from 182 in 2014 to 63 today, Mr. Modi added. He reaffirms the Government's commitment towards improving the standard of living of the poor, the development of industries, and other infrastructure in the state. He said, the Government is also encouraging the small handicraft artisans by bringing various incentive schemes for them.  <br />'' <br />'' The Prime Minister said, Gujarat is achieving new heights of development by building the foundation for five pillars of power i.e. people, knowledge, energy, water, and defense. With stability in law and order, Gujarat has achieved growth in all fields of life. He said, the Government is planning to develop the eco-tourism sector at Jamnagar and adjourning coastal line.<br />'' <br />''The Prime Minister also dedicated two packages of Saurashtra Narmada Avtaran Irrigation (SAUNI) Yojana Link 3 and Link 7 at Jamnagar today. With this, the waters of River Narmada will reach Jamnagar, Rajkot, Devbhoomi Dwarka and Porbandar in the Saurashtra region. More than 170 kilometers of pipeline built at the cost of around 1000 crore rupees will benefit around one lakh people in the region. Mr. Modi also dedicated the 40 megawatt Solar Power plant at Haripar village in Jamnagar.
