Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a day's visit to the Cyclone Ockhi devastated areas of Kerala, Tamilnadu and Lakshadweep, reached Kavarati in Lakshadweep this morning. <br/><br/>He is presently holding talks with the affected people and island administration. The meeting is going on in the government secretariat, Kavarati.<br/>In the afternoon, Prime Minister will arrive in Thiruvananthapuram, where he will be received by Kerala Governor P. Sathasivam, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and others. <br/><br/>He will also visit Kanyakumari to take stock of the disaster and relief measures. In the evening, Prime Minister will visit the worst hit Poonthura region in Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala. He is also scheduled to meet the affected fishermen families, the state administration and other officials concerned in Thiruvananthapuram, before leaving for Delhi.<br/><br/>The cyclone Ockhi that struck on Nov 30th in Kanyakumari and Kerala coast, claimed around 70 lives in Kerala and around 14 in Tamilnadu. The search operations by the combined forces for the missing fishermen, reportedly around 100, is still continuing.
