The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh leaves tomorrow on a four day visit to South Korea. On the eve of his departure, Dr. Manmohan Singh said in a statement that in order to retain public support for harnessing the benefits of nuclear energy, highest levels of nuclear security and safety has to be ensured. Reiterating India's continuing support for a world free of nuclear weapons, Dr. Singh said his visit will provide the opportunity to exchange views with world leaders who will be attending the Seoul Nuclear Security Summit.
The Prime Minister said India has prepared a national report which will be shared during the Summit. Touching upon bilateral ties with South Korea, Dr. Singh said he was looking forward to the bilateral meeting with President Lee Myung- bak for a comprehensive review of relations.
