He was speaking at the bi-centenary celebration of the Mumbai Samachar Newspaper, the oldest newspaper in Asia, in Mumbai. He praised journalists and said that during COVID 19 time, they worked like 'Karmayogi'. While appreciating the Media Mr. Modi said, During the&nbsp;last few years media has published much positive news which helped to create a positive environment in the country. India always respected wise criticism. He asked the media to spread positive words along with Criticism.<br />''<br />''He said that during the freedom movement and for the protection of democracy, the&nbsp;media played a vital role. Mumbai Samachar created awareness among the citizens and will continue this work. He asked Mumbai Samachar owners to publish books in various languages documenting various historical events.<br />''<br />''Prime Minister also released a commemorative postal stamp of Mumbai Samachar. Maharashtra's Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Union Minister Devusinh Chauhan, Leader of opposition Devendra Fadnavis other dignitaries and thousands of Mumbai residents were present on the occasion.</span><br />
