Government says that prices of onions will soon come down and stabilize at last year's rates. Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a function in New delhi on Thursday, Consumer Affairs Secretary Rajiv Aggarwal said that new Kharif Crop from Maharastra and Gujarat has hit the markets and prices will come down in a few days. Mr Aggarwal also informed that the government is exploring possibilities to monitor prices of fruits and vegetables on a regular basis.
