The issue of price rise rocked both Houses of Parliament. While the Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day on the issue, the Rajya Sabha was also adjourned twice over the issue. There was uproar in both the Houses right from the start when the two houses met yesterday. Agitated over the steep rise in the prices of essential commodities, the opposition members were up on their feet shouting slogans against the government for not being able to check the hike in the prices.<br/><br/>The Congress said that non-action against hoarders by the state governments is the main reason behind the present price rise situation. Talking to reporters outside Parliament, party spokesperson Mr. Manish Tewari rebutted Oppositions’ charges that government is shying away from discussions on the topic. <br/><br/>The Oppositions parties on the other hand are blaming Central government stating that the price rise situation has arised due to faulty policies of the Centre. Talking to reporters, BJP leader Ravishankar Prasad said that government is not doing enough to capture price rise.<br/><br/>Speaking on the same lines, Samajwadi party leader Mr. Mulayam Singh Yadav said that the party will take up the issue on various public platforms. <br/><br/> <br/><br/>
