The President, Vice President and the Prime Minister have greeted the people on the eve of Diwali.

In their separate messages on the occasion, Mrs. Pratibha Devisingh Patil, Mohd. Hamid Ansari and Dr. Manmohan Singh expressed hope that the festival of lights will dispel darkness and gloom and bring joy, happiness and prosperity to the people.
