The President Mrs. Pratibha Devisingh Patil greeted the nation on the occasion of 'Diwali'. In her message, Mrs. Patil said, that Diwali, the festival of lights is celebration of the victory of good over evil. She said this festival brings happiness and prosperity to all people and illuminate their lives with lights of hope for a better tomorrow.The Vice President Mr. Mohammed Hamid Ansari in his message said, the festival symbolises the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness and truth over untruth. Mr. Ansari said that the noble ideals of the festival prevail and usher in peace, prosperity and happiness in our lives.
