The President and the Vice president today greeted the nation on the eve of Rakshabandhan. The president Pranab Mukherjee in his message said that Raksha Bandhan is the celebration of the unique relationship that exists between brothers and sisters and hoped that the spirit of this festival would strengthen fraternal feelings in the society and remind people of the importance of unity and harmony.The Vice President Hamid Ansari called on the people to follow the ideals associated with this festival to promote the spirit of amity, harmony and goodwill in their lives.
