In her message, President Pratibha Devisingh Patil said, Lord Mahavir’s noble teachings inspire the people to work for peace and harmony for the welfare of humanity. <br/><br/>Vice President Hamind Ansari said Bhagwan Mahavir's teachings have a timeless relevance and inspires hope amidst despair, acting as a beacon in our life. <br/><br/>In his message, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said, Lord Mahavir’s life and teachings show us the path to a life of happiness and contentment.
