President Pranab Mukherjee, on the last day of his three day visit to Darjeeling, today visited few tea gardens. <br/><br/>In an interaction with members of the Darjeeling Tea Association, Mr. Mukherjee said that the world famous Darjeeling tea has a unique character, taste and flavour and it should be retained at all cost. <br/><br/>He urged the West Bengal government to make sure that there is increase in the production of Darjeeling tea.<br/><br/>Mr. Mukherjee said that the climatic condition of Darjeeling must be retained to make sure that the Darjeeling tea thrives properly. He also called for efficient marketing of this unique product in the international market.
