In Kerala, President PratIbha Devisingh Patil will be inaugurating the internationally- acclaimed Nehru Trophy Boat Race at Punnamada lake, Alappuzha in a shortwhile from now. Nineteen snake boats and 60 wooden boats belonging to different categories will be participating in the race. Union Ministers Vayalar Ravi, Kumari Selja, CPIM Politburo Member Sitaram Yechury are to attend the boat race that attracts thousands of tourists from across the world.
