President Pratibha Devi Singh Patil will preside over the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Sainik School, Kunjpura in Karnal district of Haryana today. The school was founded on 24th of July 1961 and is among those five Sainik Schools founded by then Defence Minister V K Krishna Menon. Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and former Army Chief General V K Kapoor, who are alumni of this school, will participate in the celebrations.
