The President Pranab Mukherjee has prorogued both the Houses of Parliament after the conclusion of the monsoon session on September 7. A Lok Sabha Secretariat statement said the House which commenced its Eleventh Session on the 8th August, 2012 has been prorogued by the President on the 12th September, 2012. A Rajya Sabha Secretariat statement said the House which adjourned sine die on September 7 has been prorogued by the President on September 12.
