As part of his three day visit to Gujarat, President Pranab Mukherjee today presented Dr APJ Abdul Kalam IGNITE award to 31 school children across the country for their exemplary grass root innovations. <br/><br/>The programme was organised by National Innovation Foundation at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. Addressing the students and faculties of IIMA, president said innovation is the key to economic development and needs to be nurtured at each level. <br/><br/>Lauding the work of IIMA as a primer management institute of the country, he said the institute inculcates the creative and entrepreneurship spirit in students in its special programme on entrepreneurship. He said the programme is a boost to PM's Start Up India. <br/><br/>Stand up India mission. Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel congratulated the awardees and instructed Gujarat government and IIMA to implement some of its innovations targeted to ease out the work of farmers and hawkers in the state. ?
