President Pranab Mukherjee will be on a three day visit to Gujarat and Union Territory of Diu from today. During the visit President will interact with students and faculty of IIM Ahmedabad and also attend several other functions. After reaching Ahmedabad airport today, President Mr.Mukherjee will first go to Kapdivav in Kheda district where he will inaugurate state-of-art feed manufacturing plant of Amul dairy. President will also attend the function at IIM Ahmedabad and confer Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam IGNITE awards to creative children. He will also interact with faculty and students of Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad this evening. <br/><br/>President Mukherjee will visit Sabarmati ashram tomorrow morning and inaugurate its Archives and Research Center. He will also address the 62nd convocation ceremony of Gujarat Vidyapith tomorrow before visiting historic Somnath. President will also inaugurate a two and half month long beach festival at Diu on Saurashtra coast tomorrow evening. On 2nd December, President will visit the Dwarkadhish Temple in Jamnagar before returning to Delhi. AIR Ahmedabad correspondent reports that this is the first official visit of President Pranab Mukherjee to Gujarat and Diu.
