President Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the people of Maldives on their 50th Independence Day today. In his message to the President of Maldives, Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, Mr Mukherjee said, this year marks the golden jubilee year of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Maldives. The President expressed confidence that the traditional ties of friendship and cooperation that exist between the two countries will continue to flourish in the years ahead.
