The BJP today said it supports P A Sangma's candidature for the Presidential polls. Party leader Sushma swaraj said, the BJP, as the main Opposition, does not want to give a walkover to Congress because there was no prior consultation by UPA with them. She also appealed to NDA allies Shiv Sena and JD-U to revisit their position of not supporting Presidential contestant P.A Sangma.
