Four persons have filed nominations so far for the Presidential elections scheduled to take place on the 19th of next month. Briefing newsmen in New Delhi the Secretary General of Rajya Sabha, also the Returning officer of the Presidential polls, Mr. V.K Agnihotri said, one of the nominations have been rejected as certified copies were not submitted.

He said the deposit money of 15000 rupees, for contesting the polls can be deposited in cash in the office of the Returning officer and also to the RBI. The filing of nominations for the Presidential polls will continue till 30th of this month.

Scrutiny will take place on second of next month and the counting of votes is scheduled on the 22 nd of July.
