The key alliance partner Shiv Sena today came in support of UPA nominee Pranab Mukherjee for the presidential poll. The party said he is a right candidate for the top post . The Shiv Sena Chief, Bal Thakare sought unanimous support for Mr. Mukherjee. Party spokesman Sanjay Raut said that the decision is in the national intrest.

The Congress has sought support of all political parties for Mr. Mukherjee. NDA on the other hand has not opened its cards yet and is weighing options to field a candidate in the Presidential poll.
