Even as major parties are yet to firm up their choice for the Vice-Presidential poll candidate, 13 persons have filed their nominations so far for the post and papers of two of them have been rejected forthwith. Lok Sabha Secretary General and Returning Officer for the Vice-Presidentidal Poll, Mr. T K Viswanathan gave this information and said, two nominations were rejected for failing to attach a certified copy of the name being in the electoral roll of the Parliamentary constituency and security deposit of 15,000 rupees.

He said, the last date of filing nominations for the August 7 poll, is 20th of this month and the scrutiny will take place the next day. The last date of withdrawal from the race is 23rd July.
