The President, Mrs. Pratibhadevi Singh Patil said that increasing urbanisation has made it necessary to plan and build cities in such a way that human beings can lead a better life. After visiting India pavilion in World Expo 2010 in Shanghai in China on Sunday, she said in her message that it is necessary to have harmony with nature. She said that India is committed to pursue green technologies.<br/>Earlier, she was given a colorful reception at the Indian pavilion with the performance of Bharat Natayam and Kathak, the classical forms of Indian dances. The Indian pavilion designed by Indian and Chinese engineers reflects harmony between the two sides, features India's religious culture, traditional and modern technologies and communication of urban and rural life.<br/>AIR correspondent reports that the pavilion modelled on Saanchi Stupa and ancient Buddhist monuments is the largest bamboos structure in the world with a height of 17 meters. Mrs. Patil also visited the Chinese pavilion where she watched and eight minutes movie on the development urbanisation of China. <br/><br/>
