The President Mrs. Pratibha Devisingh Patil today returned home after completing her two nation visit to Seychelles and South Africa. Talking to reporters Mrs. Patil said that while combating piracy in the Indian Ocean remained the focus of discussion between India and Seychelles, India has also offered
a financial package of 75 million dollars to the island nation. She said that her visit to South Africa highlighted the strategic partnership between India and that country. She said both countries are members of G-20, IBSA and BRICS and BASIC and NAM, which have offered opportunity to co-operate closely on issues of mutual interest.
