The President Pratibha Devi Singh Patil arrived in Kolkata on Monday afternoon on three-day visit to West Bengal. The President will inaugurate a painting exhibition of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore at Shanti Niketan tomorrow. AIR Kolkata correspondent reports that the President will pay homage to the Noble laureate poet on his 150th birth anniversary. She will visit ‘Udayan’, the residence of Tagore and Kala Bhavan. The President is expected to interact with teachers and students of the Viswabharati University in Santiniketan.
