The President Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, today participated in the 202nd birth anniversary of renowned Nepalese poet, Bhanubhakta Acharya, at Chowrasta, popularly known as "The Mall", in the queen of hills, Darjeeling, in West Bengal. The President garlanded a large painting of the image of the poet and paid floral tributes to him. <br/><br/>Mr. Mukherjee extolled the beauty of the Darjeeling hills and praised the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress Government of the state for maintaining the beauty of Darjeeling and also for developing the state's hill region. Stressing that India's greatest strength lies in its diversity and pluralism he praised Darjeeling as a "Mini India".
