President Pratibha Devisingh Patil today met children from Kupwara District of Jammu and Kashmir at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Speaking to the children, the President urged them to use the opportunity to see and understand the country. She said India is a large and diverse country, but within diversity, is the important element of unity.

The President asked the group to take back their impressions to their villages, so that the objective of the tour – Sadbhavana is achieved.

These children are participating in the tour organized under Operation Sadbhavana by the Rashtriya Rifles. During the tour, these children will visit different cities across the country.
