Prez Kovind to inaugurate three-day International Dharma Dhamma conference

President Ram Nath Kovind today inaugurated three day International Dharma- Dhamma conference this afternoon in RAJGIR in Bihar.<br/><br/>The conference is on State and Social Order in Dharma -Dhamma Traditions.This conference has been jointly organised by India Foundation, Nalanda University, Ministry of External Affairs, Asean India and Vietnamese Buddhist Sangha.<br/><br/>AIR Correspondent reports that the conference is an endeavour of Nalanda University in its pursuit to be a bridge between India and other nations and performs its role as emerging thought leader in the new world order.Over one hundred dignatories and experts from 11 countries will hold deliberations and research papers on various topics related to Buddhism and other religions and global peace.<br/><br/>The inaugural session was chaired by President Ram Nath Kovind and attended by Sri Lanka's foreign Minister Tilak Marapana, Governor Satya Pal Malik, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Secretary of External Affairs Preeti Saran.<br/><br/>The conference will bring together a wide array of dignatories who are responsible for governance, policy making and giving directions to countries. <br/><br/>Besides sages, monks and Swamis will also share their spiritual views in different sessions. It would be a unique conference witnessing policy makers, people in governments, sages and monks sharing views on Dhamma (teaching of Buddha), Dharma (religion) and global peace.
