President Pratibha Devisingh Patil today said ,industry and agriculture need to join hands to raise the economic growth in the coming years. Addressing a delegation of leading business

chambers in New Delhi, Mrs.Patil said the rural economy also has to grow so that benefits of development reach the farmers.The three chambers presented a compendium on business delegations which accompanied the President during her visits to 21 countries from 2008 to 2012.

Mrs.Patil said she has faith in Indian industry and in its ability to bring out the country from its current subdued economic growth rate.
