President Pranab Mukherjee today said that India is ready for adding more content to the strategic partnership with Vietnam in the field of defence, economic, commercial, scientific, technical and cultural area. In a meeting with Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Huynh Dam at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi yesterday, Mukherjee said the relationship between both the countries is based on mutual trust and convergence of interests and views on global issues. He expressed great admiration for the courage of the people of Vietnam and their tremendous strides in economic and social development.

Dam described New Delhi as a long standing friend and partner of Vietnam who has always stood in the time of need. He reiterated the support of Vietnam for India’s candidature for a permanent seat in the UN Security Council.
