The President Pranab Mukherjee today said that inclusive growth that benefits every citizen of the country, especially, marginal sections of the society, is important for India’s political and economic stability. Conferring the Lakshmipat Singhania IIM- Lucknow, National Leadership Awards 2011 at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi, Mr. Mukherjee said that country needs grass-root leaders who place people and their problems at the centre of the social, economic and political discourse. He said that India will only be able to combat poverty, malnutrition, hunger and disease when every citizen will contribute to the task of nation building.
