Prez inaugurates 500th year celebrations of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's advent

President Pranab Mukherjee today asked people to adopt the message of love, equality and harmony given by Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu to transform the society. Addressing the 500th anniversary of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's advent to Vrindavan, Mr Mukherjee said, Indian civilization has many sects and beliefs and all converge into the vast ocean of humanity. <br/><br/>He said, predecessors and many successors of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu also spread the uniform message of love, compassion and affection. The President said, in the modern age constitution has preserved the diversity of the country. <br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion, Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik said, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu re-established the forgotten and lost glory of Mathura Vrindavan and preached the message of Vasudhaiv Kumtumbakam.<br/><br/>In her address Member of Parliament from Mathura, Hema Malini said, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu integrated the whole nation through love and devotion and uplifted humanity. She said, Centre and state are working together to develop the Mathura Vrindavan region.

President Pranab Mukherjee inaugurated the 500th year celebrations of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's advent in Vrindavan today. He will also visit the Shri Radha Raman Temple. Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik was present on the occasion. While Vrindavan is presenting bridal look, the enthusiasm amongst residents is also tremendous.
