Hosting a banquet in honour of the visiting Chinese President Xi Jinping last night, said, the two countries share a desire for early resolution of the outstanding issues, including the boundary question and both are also committed for maintenance of peace and tranquility at borders.
The President also called for re-doubling the efforts to address the trade deficit, provide better market access to each other's goods and explore the opportunities to create cooperation in the infrastructure sector.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the agreement between the two countries on maintaining peace and tranquility on the border should be strictly observed.

Chinese President Xi Jinping assured India that China will consider India's demand for access to its products in pharmaceutical and farm sectors. He said China and India will act as twin engines to promote growth and prosperity in the region.
