President Pranab Mukherjee, Vice-President Mohd Hamid Ansari and Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh have greeted the people on the occasion of Navroz–the Parsi New Year Day being celebrated today. In his message, the President said Navroz celebrations symbolised the composite culture of the country. Mukherjee wished the festival brought people across the country closer and reinforce the commitment of communal harmony, amity and goodwill towards all.

Vice-President said Navroz fostered the spirit of harmony and brotherhood that marked our composite culture. Dr. Singh said Navroz was harbinger of peace and prosperity and the festival reminds us of the rich diversity and inclusiveness of our culture.
