The President, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee today dedicated to the nation the capital complex and the Secretariat building in Chhattisgarh's new Capital City. With this, the State Capital has been formally shifted to Naya Raipur developed in an area of eight thousand hectares.

President also gave away awards to 24 personalities for their outstanding contribution in their respective fields. While addressing the valedictory function of the 12th Statehood Day celebrations, President said that this young state has registered all round development. He said Naya Raipur is the first planned capital of 21st century India.
