President Mrs. Pratibha Devisingh Patil has asked educational institutions to create large scale employment opportunities for higher education graduates. She was speaking at a function at Ruia College in Mumbai.

Mrs. Patil urged educational institutions to upgrade their training methodologies and curriculum and focus more on developing vocational skills.

Mrs. Patil said that India will be able to reap a demographic dividend only if the younger generation has the education and skills to meet the economic and intellectual requirements of the country.

Mrs. Patil also inaugurated an exhibition which promotes to offer practical innovative and technology driven programmes .
