President Pranab Mukherji arrived in Thiruvananthapuram last night on a day visit to Kerala. He will inaugurate the Viswa Malayala Mahotsavam 2012 at the Kerala University Senate Hall this morning.

At 12 noon, the President will flag off the Jan Vigyan Yathra of the P N Panicker Foundation at Raj Bhavan. Mr. Pranab Mukherji will also address the members of the Kerala Legislative Assembly at 4 P.M.

The President will return to New Delhi this evening This is the first visit of Mr. Pranab Mukherji to Kerala after assuming office as President.
