The President, Mrs. Pratibha Devi Singh Patil today administered oath of office to new Chief Information Commissioner Anugraha Narayan Tiwari at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Tiwari, who is one the senior-most Information Commissioners, was elevated to the position of Chief of Central Information Commissioner yesterday. He joined the Commission on 26th of December in 2005.The Chief Information Commissioner is chosen by a committee comprising the Prime Minister, the Leader of Opposition and a minister of the Union Cabinet.
