The bail plea of former Delhi University lecturer SAR Gilani, who is facing sedition charge, will come up for hearing today before the Metropolitan Magistrate in Delhi. He moved a bail application in this regard yesterday. Gilani was remanded to judicial custody till 3rd of March by a Metropolitan Magistrate yesterday and later lodged in the Tihar Jail. <br/><br/>The accused was arrested on Tuesday in connection with an event at the Press Club in New Delhi, where anti-national slogans were allegedly raised last week. He was presented before the Magistrate in a police station for remand proceedings in wake of unruly scenes in Patiala House Courts complex on Monday and Wednesday.
