The 74th conference of presiding officers of legislative bodies of the country begins in Bhopal on Wednesday. AIR Bhopal correspondent reports that the conference is being held in Bhopal after a gap of 20 years.<br/><br/>Loksabha speaker Meera Kumar will inaugurate the presiding officer’s conference. Vice Chairman of Rajya Sabha K Rehman Khan, Deputy Speaker of Loksabha Karia Munda and speakers and deputy speakers of 36 legislative bodies <br/><br/>will attend the conference.<br/><br/>The conference will discuss topics like role of Speaker in the administration, creation of smaller states and self assessment by legislature. Mrs. Meera Kumar will also inaugurate two exhibitions on this occasion.<br/><br/>A symposium on urgency in addressing the needs of environment and conservation of wildlife will be held on Wednesday. The conference will conclude on the 6th of this month.
