President, Vice President, Prime Minister and Lok Sabha Speaker have greeted the nation on the occasion of Id-ul-Fitr tomorrow. President Mr Pranab Mukherjee in his message said that the festival reminds us of our duties towards the poor and downtrodden as well as the need for charity and generosity towards all.
Vice President Mohmmad Hamid Ansari in his message said, this festival signifies the traditional expression of fraternity and brotherhood across the country. He wished that this festival may unite all humanity in a common bond of understanding and inspire all to work tirelessly towards building a harmonious, peaceful and prosperous society.
In his message, Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh said, the festival of Eid is an occasion for happiness and is marked by the spirit of brotherhood and sacrifice.
Lok Sabha Speaker Mrs Meira Kumar has also greeted the nation on the occasion.
