President's rule has been imposed in Jharkhand. According to Rashtrapati Bhawan sources, the President Pranab Mukherjee has signed proclamation on Central rule in the state . Earlier, the cabinet recommended President's rule in the state. This followed resignation by the Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda. He resigned after the colation partner Jharkhand Mukti Morcha withdrew support to the government. The state was placed under President's Rule on earlier occasions in 2009 and 2010.
